Residential Claims

Need to file an insurance claim for damages to your home?

Damaged residential home

When your home gets unexpected damage, there is little time to the learn the ins and outs of your insurance policy and claims process. By hiring a public adjuster, we can help you fully understand your policy, properly assess the damages and negotiate with your insurance company so you can be ensured you get the settlement you are entitled to.

Unlike the independent adjusters from your insurance company, we work for the policyholder, to protect your interests and receive the largest insurance settlement possible.

How to Understand Your Policy

Most cases, your insurance provider often neglects to assess and will sometimes misinterpret your policy. When this happens you will see a reduction of benefits, denied claims and a lower claim settlement.

You should thoroughly review every aspect of your homeowners insurance policy prior to beginning the claims process. During this process, you should also consider hiring an experienced public adjuster to help clear up the details of your policy and assess your damages.

The main coverage’s that most homeowners have are:

Dwelling Coverage – Covers the insured dwelling, additions, patio covers and built-in fixtures of the home.

Other Structures – Covers any detached structure such as detached garages, fences, driveways, sidewalks and yard fixtures.

Personal Property – Coverage for personal property or contents owned by, or in possession of the property owner included but not limited to personal belongings, furniture, unattached fixtures, curtains/drapes, and antiques.

Additional Living Expenses(ALE) – Covers expenses incurred that you otherwise would not have incurred “but for” the covered property loss. These living expenses payments are meant to help you maintain a reasonable standard of living while your property is being repaired.

Law and Ordinance(Code Coverage) – Depending on your state laws and building codes, your policy will have coverage for any increased cost of construction due to the enforcement of building codes.
